Twins go to SoCal! (Part 3 of 3)

Sunday morning we slept in and then drove back down to San Diego. After we returned the rental car, we Uber'd to Coronado Island and checked into the historic Hotel Del Coronado. It was much cooler on the island and a bit breezy, so we spent the afternoon at the pool and had dinner at a local pizza place.

Monday morning we had breakfast in the famous Crown Room and then headed out on a hop-on hop-off trolley tour.

Our first trolley stop was Old Town San Diego. We thought we'd just stop for a few minutes, and stayed for a few hours!

Monday evening Pampered Chef sponsored a Movie Night on the beach - we watched Top Gun!

The easiest shortcut to our room was through the pool - so we got some neat views of it!
Tuesday was quite cool, so we lounged around the hotel and had breakfast outdoors.

Wednesday was our last full day at The Del, so we spent most of it at the pool. In the morning though, we walked the beach and saw that the story about glitter in the sand was true. We also saw a lot of sand dollars. They are purple and fuzzy when they are still alive!

That evening was Pampered Chef's group event. It was a retro beach bash.

They had a neat photo booth in a mini VW van

They had a great band

Thursday morning we had one more breakfast in the Crown Room, and then packed up and headed back to San Diego to fly home. It was another great Irresistible Destinations trip with Pampered Chef!

Twins go to SoCal! (Part 2 of 3)

Friday morning we woke up and walked over to Disney California Adventure!

Minnie Mouse!
The first ride we did was Goofy's Sky School.

While we were at DCA, the park was remodeling to turn Paradise Pier into Pixar Pier.
In front of the remodeling!
Next up was Ariel's Undersea Adventure.

Then we left the pier area, walked past Cars Land and into Hollywood Land.

We went to Award Wieners for lunch - it was delicious!

Then we headed over to A Bug's Land and rode Heimlich's Choo Choo Train!

Walking around the park we saw Goofy and the plans for Pixar Pier.

Then Aimee got to meet Loki, and get his signature for Connor.

Then we tried to get on the water ride, Grizzly River Rapids, but the line was way too long since its was in the mid-90's. So instead we ran through the kiddie waterpark in A Bug's Land.
Then, we met Chip and Dale on the Redwood Challenge Trail!

Then we headed into Cars Land to ride Radiator Racers!

After the ride I finally got to see Donald (but his line was already closed to get my picture taken with him)!

Finally, we rode Soarin' Around the World - it was a neat ride!

After the ride, we bought our ears!

Then we needed to head back to our room for nap so we could make it to the evening parade. On the way back we saw this neat map on the sidewalks in the area.

When we got back to the park, we rode the Monsters, Inc. ride.

We had a great view from our spot for the parade of the soon-to-be-renamed Paradise Pier.

After the parade, we walked back through Cars Land. It looked so great all lit up.

On our way out of the park, we caught Disneyland's fireworks.

After the fireworks, we walked around Downtown Disney a bit and then back to the hotel to get some much needed sleep for the last part of the trip!
