New England in the Fall

This October we traveled back East for my cousin's wedding and some sightseeing in New England. We landed in Boston early and spent our first day touring the town on their Hop-On, Hop-Off trolley system.

Tried Uber for the first time!

I had a cannoli in Little Italy

Our Airbnb was a few blocks away from Fenway Park, it was a neat neighborhood, and made getting around the city much easier!

Thursday, we got a rental car and picked up Aimee. We had breakfast in Cambridge and explored Harvard for a bit.

Then we drove down to Hingham to the original Wahlburgers! Sadly, we did not see any of the famous Wahlbergs.

After lunch, we drove north of town and met up with the rest of the family. We all took short naps and then headed into Cambridge to meet up with Nicole's niece, who lives there, and we walked to dinner on the water.

We then took a water taxi over to Boston and walked around the city for a bit.

Finally we took the subway back to Cambridge (my first time on the subway!) and drove back to the hotel.

Riding the subway!

Friday morning we all loaded up and began to caravan to Vermont for the wedding festivities! We took a (not) quick pitstop in New Hampshire to stock up on provisions for the weekend.

We took a lovely lunch stop in Keene, New Hampshire. It was a super cute town with a roundabout and gazebo in the center of town!

We took the scenic route to Vermont, and the fall colors were beautiful! After checking in, we got ready for the cocktail reception and then got to see all the family and beautiful bride-to-be, my cousin Tessa!
The next day was wedding day! However, since the wedding was not until late afternoon, we decided to drive around the resort and take some fall photos.

The wedding was beautiful, on the resort property, on a warm, sunny October day in Vermont! It was a great wedding, with a cocktail hour afterwards outside, followed by an amazing reception indoors.

After the reception, the family gathered for some games!

The morning after the wedding, we headed out to Killington and had some fun in the hot weather!

We even stopped off at a farm on the way back!

Homework the last night of vacation...
Monday morning, we packed up and made the drive back to Massachusetts. We even got to experience a covered bridge on the drive south.

A great car-ride with an awesome nephew
We all finally had to say goodbye at the Boston Airport, where we got on our flights to our homes all over the U.S.

Finally had some Boston cream pie in the airport

Uncle and nephew's final parting...
It was a FANTASTIC, yet short trip with my favorite people - my family. The weather and fall colors were amazing, and we got to celebrate the wedding of two wonderful people!
