Flor-lando Trip - March 2021 (part 2)

Our third park day of our trip to Orlando was to Epcot - right at the beginning of Walt Disney World's Flower & Garden Festival. Normally folks' trips to Epcot mean a lot of food - but during a festival, it means even MORE food!

Our first stop was the iconic Spaceship Earth ride.

Then we headed over to Mission: SPACE (we all rode the easier, "green" version..)

After riding the Soarin' Around the World and checking out the SeaBase aquarium, we headed into the heart of the festival and the World Showcase.
We started our culinary journey at the Honey Bee-stro.  

Then we moved on to the Canada and then the United Kingdom.
As part of the festival, there were numerous fantastic topiaries around.

We saw more character calvacades at Epcot as well, including these princesses in the United Kingdom.

There was a beautiful view of Spaceship Earth across the lake from France.

I stopped to rest my feet for awhile in Morocco.

To end the evening, we headed back to Germany for dinner at the Biergarten Restaurant.

Our final park day at Walt Disney World was at the quintessential Magic Kingdom!

I loved all the mosaics in Cinderella's castle (she's my favorite princess)!

Our first stop was Seven Dwarfs Mine Train.

Then we headed over to Pirates of the Caribbean

Next up was lunch at Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe.
Then I beat Aimee at  Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin (by a LOT!) 

Afterwards, we rested at the Enchaned Tiki Room and followed it up by a Dole Whip
and a ride on the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
We then rode the Jungle Cruise and explored the Swiss Family Treehouse
and then headed back to the hub for some shopping. 

While in the hub, we saw all sorts of character calvalcades, including Aimee's favorite - Mary Poppins (see her anticipation above)!

We also saw more princesses and the fairy godmother!

And of course, Donald! 💙

We ended our evening in the park with dinner in  Frontierland at the Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe.

Dad, Mom and I finally got on the monorail (after wanting to all week)
to get a ride back to the Transportation and Ticket Center to watch the sun set on the castle
(and ride through the Contemporary Resort).

Our final park day was at Universal Studios. We started in Universal Studios Florida and headed straight to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter (specifically Diagon Alley)!

Twelve Grimmauld Place

Our first ride was the best - Escape from Gringotts!

The kids got interactive wands and had fun trying them out in Knockturn Alley.
I had to active limos on mine (iPhone) to see the map!

My sister is a Slytherin - and should not be trusted near a Vanishing Cabinet!

After lunch at Krusty Burger and the Simpsons Ride,
we  headed to Kings Cross and rode the Hogwarts Express
to Hogsmeade in Islands of Adventure (Universal's neighboring park).

We had to ride Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey
before leaving Hogsmeade and checking out the rest of the park.

Toon Lagoon was so cool!

A quick pose with Popeye and Olive Oil before we rode  the Amazing Adventures of Spiderman.

A snack break was needed, so I had another churro!

Finally, we headed to Seuss Landing.

Our last ride of the trip - Cat in the Hat!

Dinner (and dessert) at The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen was amazing!

Our final day of the trip was spent packing up and some shopping at Disney Springs (and lunch at the Boathouse). It was a fantastic (and exhausting) trip of a lifetime!
