Flor-lando Trip - March 2021 (part 1)

This March I went with my family to Orlando for a wonderful vacation. Originally, we were to go in June 2020 as a sales incentive trip my sister earned - but due to COVID, it was rescheduled for this month.

We flew in on a Saturday and my folks picked me up. Our room was not ready yet, so we drove over to Disney Springs and checked out the shopping!

Mom & I both have braces on our left braces - twins!

After checking out Disney Springs, we headed to the military resort, Shades of Green, to check into our room. It's a gorgeous property!

Our first park day was at Animal Kingdom, and man was it amazing!

The center of Animal Kingdom is the Tree of Life - it was gorgeous!

We got the photo pass package, and they took some great (and fun) shots!

The first stop was Pandora - the land from the Avatar film. It was gorgeous!

Then we did the Kilimanjaro Safaris - and saw so many neat animals.

Did you know a group of hippos is called a "bloat"?!? 😂

Next up was Expedition Everest - it was such a fun coaster!

We saw so many character calvacades on the river - including Pocahontas and Meeko!

We had lunch in DinoLand at the Restaurantosaurus, and then checked out the DINOSAUR ride.

Then we headed out on Rafiki's Planet Watch train and checked out the Animation Experience at the Conservation Station

We drew ongis from the new Disney film, Raya and the Last Dragon

After returning on the train, we got back in line for Avatar's Flight of Passage (and took a few photos while in line)

Dinner was at Flame Tree Barbecue

We ended the day on Avatar's Na'vi River Journey and a closing time projection show on the Tree of Life.

Our second park day was at Hollywood Studios!

First stop was Toy Story Land to ride the Slinky Dog Dash!

I loved the theming in this part of the park, but especially the ride's line and the ride itself.

My niece, Abby, and I - she was my roller coaster buddy!

Then we headed over to Galaxy's Edge (Star Wars land).

We had a quick snack (gotta have those Mickey pretzels!), roamed the park a bit more, and then had a late lunch at the ABC Commissary.

Then we redeemed our coveted spot in the virtual queue or the super popular Rise of the Resistance. It was well worth the hype! (We barely have any pictures, as the storm troopers and "guards" were so intimidating we barely took our phones out.) 

Then we continued on the Stars Wars' theme and rode Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.
Us girls rode together, with my mom piloting, my niece navigating, and my sister and I being gunners.
It was a blast!

While the Woodleys did the Droid Depot, Mom and I did some shopping while Dad rested.
Then we all met up again at Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway (the park's newest ride).

We ended the evening at the Woodleys' hotel (Coronado Springs Resort, the Gran Destino Tower), with dinner at El Mercado de Coronado.
