This last week we went Ketchikan for Eliza's wedding. My sister and niece were able to come down with us and play tourist.

Wednesday, we started off by showing off downtown Ketchikan to Aimee and Abby while it was still dry - including famous Creek Street.
That evening we headed south to Herring Cove to look for bears.
 |
| 17 bald eagles in one tree! |
Thursday was rather rainy, but we still got out around town - including the Southeast Discovery Center.
And some souvenir shopping at Tongass...
That evening we headed south to go see the big waterfall - it was so rainy and windy that only Andrew got out of the car to check it out and go soaked - he came back quickly!
Friday was the big day, but with the wedding in the afternoon, we made the most of the rainy morning and headed north for some outdoor adventuring. Our first stop was Totem Bight.
At Totem Bight, the weather started to clear - and then we walked around Ward lake and enjoyed the rainforest.

| We saw lots of slugs Friday morning! |
Friday afternoon we got all dressed up for the wedding and headed to the church.

Saturday was gorgeous, sunny, and hot! We headed downtown to the Blueberry Festival and enjoyed the festival and some wonderful Filipino food!
 |
| Lumpia and pancit - yum! |
That evening we ate out at Good Fortune for some Chinese food.
 |
| Salmon at Creek Street |
After dinner, we drove out to Herring Cove for one last look at the bears. This time we saw one much closer - plus a beautiful sunset!
