Texas Spring Break

We took an early spring break trip to Texas this year. Flying into Dallas, we spent the first few days of the trip with our friends, Joe and Karen, in Grapevine. We ate some excellent barbecue and went to a neat dinner theatre as well. Grapevine has a cute historic downtown and railway.

We went to a market that sold some crazy fruit

Joe broke out his accordion, and Andrew tried it out...

I was in heaven at The Container Store!

We solved the mystery!

Sunday we drove to San Antonio, with a short stop in Austin for some outlet shopping and lunch.

The first day in San Antonio we visited the top two visited places in the state of Texas - the Alamo, and the Riverwalk! We had lunch on the Riverwalk and then took a great narrated boat tour of Rio San Antonio.

Our view of the riverwalk from lunch!

The next day we visited Mission San Jose, Pearl Brewery, and Alamo Quarry Market. We had some excellent Mexican while in San Antonio.

Amazing Mexican food!

Our last day in Texas, we walked around downtown San Antonio a bit more, including a last lunch on the Riverwalk.

It was hot, but it was a great and relaxing week off!
